Church Hall

Domestic role play is always on offer along at our setting along with creative and construction opportunities.  Additional resources are brought out on a rotational basis in order that all children benefit from the wide variety we have available.  There is always a cosy space for the children to snuggle into and items for them to extend their learning.

A local allotment site is a short distance away which enables the children to see vegetables and flowers growing and being harvested.  They are also able to witness mini beasts living in their natural environment.  Adjoining the allotment is an open parkland consisting of grassed areas, a stream, trees, shrubs and a pond all of which provide excellent outdoor learning opportunities.

Out local librarian visits us on occasions to read stories to the children and give them new literacy experiences.  As we are situated on a bus route it is easy to gain access to the main library in our nearby town where children can enjoy ‘story time’ in different surroundings.

We regularly visit the local school next door to make use of their forest school facilities and also receive regular invitations to their Christmas, Easter and end of term concerts which the children enjoy, making that school more familiar to them at times of transition.
